Our Montessori Academy in Vernon Hills serving families with children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

We provide a morning toddler program for children 2-3 years old and afternoon enrichment classes for children

2-5 years old. Our classes are theme-based and teach through play, music, literature, and art.

We are looking for positive and energetic professionals to join our Team and we are currently hiring for

the following positions:

DIRECTOR QUALIFIED LEAD TEACHER

Our new teacher should be:
Patient, kind, playful, imaginative, and creative with the children.
Experienced with communicating with parents daily to keep them informed on their child’s activities and progress.
A cooperative and dependable co-worker.
Able to lead circle time activities.
Able to keep our classroom clean and organized and follow procedures.

 

Our classes are taught by two teachers so our new hire will be working alongside a co-teacher. Teachers share responsibilities of conducting small group activities, circle time, art projects, classroom management, snack preparation, assisting with potty needs, as well as classroom set up and clean up.

REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are required to submit a resume and three letters of recommendation/references.
Applicants must have a degree in Early Childhood Education or other field related to education or child care, preferably with Montessori certification
Applicants must have at least one year of experience as a lead or assistant teacher in a classroom.
All employees will receive the required background check.
All employees are expected to obtain and keep their CPR and First Aid certifications up to date.
Our teachers must be able to speak appropriately and with proper use of vocabulary and grammar at all times as vocabulary, sentence structure, and grammar are an important part of our program.

This position is M-F mornings 6:30 am – 1:30 pm with the addition of 1 -3 afternoons per week

(12:00am – 6:00 pm). 30-40 hours per week.
